Vitola Fine Cigars opened in Mountain Brook Village on December 2, 2011. Working with local metal artist, John Butler, they created a unique product display system inspired by 1950’s Cuba. “As an artist, working on the Vitola project is a unique chance to experiment with art. The opportunity to see form and function in balance,” said John Butler.
Vitola Fine Cigars stocks over 700 types of cigars, including Padron Anniversary and Tatuaje and is one of the only Davidoff Appointed Merchants in Alabama. The store has been designed as a regional destination for fine cigars. “We designed the store to reflect the best of Birmingham and the cigar life,” said Harris Saunders, owner. “Vitola represents what a cigar aficionado’s store should be – well stocked, with knowledgeable staff in a first class environment,” said Jeremy Dixon. “This store is something special.”
Vitola took many ideas from their existing stores (Cigars & More Trussville and Hwy 280) and improved on them. Input from Ktanner design, Sally May Interiors and Artworks Studio were key in creating the look of the store.
Vitola features a large cigar lounge for its patrons with free wireless Internet access, private conference area and personal humidor storage for rent. Each month cigar events are held by various cigar representatives where smokers can learn about their favorite brands, pairings and more.
Vitola Fine Cigars is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. For additional information and photographs visit VitolaFineCigars.com.
