Oliva Cigars
The
Oliva family started growing tobacco in Cuba in 1886. As Cuba was
taken over by Communists, the Oliva family shifted from growing
tobacco to brokering. Cilberto Oliva traveled from country to country
looking for that distinctive Cuban taste. Gilberto finally found
fertile ground in Nicaragua. Today, the Oliva family is Nicaragua's
second largest grower of Cuban seed tobacco.
